What is FltAdvisor?
FltAdvisor is an entirely new service, using the emerging science of data aggregation to pull together disparate data sources, and an advanced analytics engine, to provide unheard of levels of accuracy and greatly advanced early warning for any delays or cancellations in your travel future.

How accurate are FltAdvisor’s alerts?
FltAdvisor alerts are both more accurate and more timely than any other service. While other services tell you what the airline tells them about the flight you are on, FltAdvisor tracks the aircraft that will fly your flight and monitors its on-time performance before your scheduled departure. Since we know the on-time performance of those actual flights, we can analyze whether your flight will be on-time. This gives us hours of advance notice over the competition.

How does FltAdvisor differ from other flight advisory services?
Other flight advisory services use the Airline’s notifications to forward information to you, with a limited amount of weather or other easily gathered information tacked-on. FltAdvisor uses advanced algorithms to determine the route that your aircraft will follow that day, and track any delays that are building as it approaches your flight time. Where many services can give you a half-hour of warning of a delay, FltAdvisor may be able to give you a much earlier warning, and a more accurate assessment of the length of the delay. This may allow you to take corrective actions well before others on your flight.

Don’t my airline-provided alerts tell me this?
Airline alerts only when the flight is close to departure, and only refer to the current flight. Our research has shown that we can provide up to a 2 hour advance notice that a significant delay is likely, and we remain more accurate right up to the departure time. Airlines sometimes hold back delay information to prevent disruptions to their operations. We do not have these constraints and we can also provide alternative airline departure information to rebook on another airline to avoid lengthy delays.

Why would I pay for this?
If you knew well in advance that your flight was delayed 2 hours, could you schedule one additional sales call or meeting? If you were the first on your flight to know that your connection, the last for the evening, would be cancelled, could you get that last room at the airport hotel? If your flight was the last one that evening and was going to be cancelled, but, with enough notice, could you standby for an earlier flight (one that that may also have been delayed), and avoid having to stay overnight and catch the next morning’s flight?

The costs you avoid in any one of these scenarios would easily pay for a year’s worth of our service. And as an Elite flyer, you are increasingly exposed to these problems as airlines trim schedules and airports reduce peak allowed volume. Without even trying to put a value on your time and your stress level, FltAdvisor is an excellent investment.

Who is TravelTech?
Travel Tech is a group of airline industry veterans and software innovators with a proven record of helping airlines to provide better service to their customers. Now, this same team brings their inside knowledge of airline systems, routes structures and dispatch procedures to help the business traveler maximize his on-the-road productivity.

We also share an important characteristic with you, we travel at least 40 trips each year, and some of us far more than that. So we not only have a product that we think the traveler wants, we have a product that we personally want and need!

Where does the information come from?
The information originates with the airline filings to US Federal Aviation Administration's (FAA) Aircraft Situation Display to Industry (ASDI) system and airline originated data from all around the world. This provides the baseline data that all flight trackers start with. FltAdvisor then expands upon this by using complex, patent-pending algorithms to draw relationships between flights to allow us to track your airplane throughout the day. Then we add the additional step of using experienced airline dispatchers to analyze and add adjustments to the entire process, resulting in information on your flight that is both Accurate and Timely.

How do I set up an alert?
Setting up an alert is easy — either simply set up our email, myflights@fltadvisor.com in your profile at your airline or booking site, and we will automatically add all of the domestic flights in your itinerary to your notifications list when we receive a copy. Otherwise, simply use the flight tracker widget to enter the airline, flight number and flight date to activate a notification.

Can I receive alerts on my phone?
FltAdvisor was designed from the outset to support the highly mobile executive. So you have the choice of receiving notifications formatted to fit the SMS screen on your phone, or HTML emails for viewing on your PC or HTML-enabled Smartphone.

How do I create an account?
It’s simple, just click on the Setup a new account from our home page and complete a short wizard to initiate your profile, select your subscription payment preference and you are ready to start improving your travel efficiency.

How do I cancel my account?
We hate to think that anyone would find our service expendable, but if you no longer need our service, simply allow your subscription to expire. Unfortunately there are no refunds for unused subscriptions at this time.

How does the Trial Subscription work?
Our trial subscription works just like many other popular content sites on the web. You enjoy the free service for 30 days or 16 tracked flights. 3 days prior to the end of the trial period, we will send you an email reminding you that your trial subscription is ending. If you want to keep enjoying the benefits that only FltAdvisor can provide, simply navigate to MY FLTADVISOR >> My Profile from the menu bar, on the day your trial expires (or when you have used all 16 trial tracked flights). Click on the Purchase button and follow the instructions, selecting the plan that best meets your needs. We look forward to having you as a member for many years.
